The Story of Erbi Ink
Erbi Ink started as an idea my father had when I was a teenager. The inspiration didn't come from a business meeting, it came from backyard hangouts and late nights with friends, filled with laughter, stories, and moments that would later become some of our most cherished memories.
The name itself evolved over the years. It began with a character drawn by a family friend that my father nicknamed "Herbie." Eventually, the "H" disappeared, leaving "Erbi." Years later, we created a gaming crew called "Erbi Inc.," unknowingly laying the foundation for the brand we know today. As our passion for art grew, "Inc." became "Ink," a tribute to the creativity and artwork at the heart of everything we do.
To us, Erbi Ink is far more than just a name. It's a collection of memories, friendships, and experiences that stretch back years. It's a reminder of family friends, the communities we built online, and the people who believed in the dream long before it ever became reality.
From the beginning, our goal was simple, create an apparel brand that stood out in a world full of recycled trends and generic designs. We wanted people to recognize an Erbi Ink design instantly, not just by the logo, but by the personality and spirit behind it. We wanted people to see our artwork and immediately know the kind of person wearing it.
At a time when marijuana legalization was still taboo, we wanted to give the culture a voice and create artwork that represented the artists, dreamers, and everyday people who had long been overlooked. We wanted to create something that felt authentic, something with character and charisma, something that stood for more than another passing trend.
Even today, our mission remains the same, to create meaningful artwork, to advocate for greater acceptance and understanding, and to build a brand that represents individuality and self-expression.
For years, Erbi Ink existed only as an idea. There were endless conversations, sketches, and dreams about what the brand could become. We were told it was unrealistic and impossible, and without experience or direction, the dream slowly faded into the background. But it never disappeared.
The name lived on through gaming communities and friendships that formed our earliest supporters. People who had heard us talk about the vision for years continued to believe in it, even when there was nothing tangible to show for it. As life moved on and people went their separate ways, most assumed Erbi Ink would remain exactly what everyone said it was, just another dream.
As I grew older, though, I began learning how to turn my father's vision into reality.
I designed what would become the Erbi Ink logo and transformed my childhood bedroom into a small workshop, gathering the equipment we needed to print our earliest designs. With my father's help, we spent countless nights experimenting, learning through trial and error, and preparing for local markets where we would sell our products to friends and family.
The day we printed our first shirt is something I'll never forget.
Seeing the emotion on my father's face was one of the few times I've ever seen him truly emotional. He stood there quietly for a moment, taking it all in, realizing that the dream he had carried with him for years, the dream that so many people said would never happen, was finally becoming real.
And then, it was as if a fire had been lit.
I'll never forget the pride I felt watching him carry that shirt around and show it to anyone who would look. He wasn't showing people a piece of clothing, he was showing them proof that his dream was alive.
Together, we spent long days and even longer nights working on an old heat press in my childhood bedroom, racing to finish orders and meet deadlines so we could make it to the next market. Those early years weren't glamorous. They were filled with mistakes, uncertainty, setbacks, and countless hours of hard work.
But every second was worth it.
Watching my father realize that his dream was finally coming to life is the reason I'm still here today.
To us, every sale means far more than money. Every order is proof that Erbi Ink is no longer just a dream shared between friends, it's something real, something alive, and something that continues to grow with every person who believes in what we're building.
Even today, there are moments when the road ahead feels impossible. There have been years without direction, moments when progress seemed nonexistent, and countless times when giving up felt like the easier choice. We've invested money, time, and pieces of ourselves into a dream that often felt stagnant.
But somehow, just when things seemed impossible, the people who had believed in us from the beginning would return. Old supporters who had followed our journey from gaming communities and childhood friendships kept tabs on our growth and reignited the passion that started all those years ago.
Today, we're more committed than ever to creating the best products we possibly can. Erbi Ink is more than clothing. It's years of memories, sacrifice, creativity, and family woven into every design we create.
And every person who wears our artwork becomes a part of that story.
When you support Erbi Ink, you're not just buying a shirt, you're helping keep a dream alive. You're supporting the countless late nights, the risks we took, the memories that inspired us, and the belief that something meaningful can come from the simplest moments.
Our story is still being written, and with every order, every message, and every person who chooses to wear Erbi Ink, you're helping us write the next chapter.
